Habituate #1 came about as a collaboration between Sydney Dance Company and the Sydney Conservatorium of music Composing Women. The work, directed and choreographed by the talented Charmene Yap, was developed, rehearsed and filmed virtually during lockdown with the Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year Dancers 2020.
All footage was shot using phone cameras within the limited spaces of the dancers homes. Masterfully edited by Cass Mortimer Eipper the film exists in four different versions with four different soundtracks by fellow Composing Women.
