In 2020 I was fortunate to be selected as one of four composers for the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Composing Women Program. The four composers for the 2020-2021 cohort were myself, Brenda Gifford, May Lyon and Jane Sheldon, mentored by the incredible Liza Lim. The program was initially conceived and run by Matthew Hindson with the first iteration in 2016-2017. Composers, as part of either a Masters or Doctoral degree at the University of Sydney get the incredible opportunity to work with leading Australian arts institutions.
The year I was lucky enough to be a part of the program the companies were Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows. A large number of the works for my portfolio you’ll find throughout this website: Sunyata, Circumstance 2020, Habitaute and Springtime Again.
